Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair
Front Oil Seal
1. Raise and support front of vehicle.
2. Remove front fender inner liner.
3. Loosen accessory attaching bolts, then remove drive belts.
4. Using clamp tool No. 83 93 993, or equivalent, secure crankshaft from turning, then remove crankshaft pulley attaching bolt.
5. Remove crankshaft pulley.
6. Using screwdriver, pry out old front seal from crankshaft.
7. Using installer tool No. 83 93 349, or equivalent, install new front seal onto crankshaft.
8. Install crankshaft pulley and tighten pulley attaching bolt to specifications.
9. Install and tension drive belts.
10. Install fender liner and wheel, then tighten attaching bolts and lower vehicle.
