Yellow wire with male spade (insulated) to the yellow wire disconnected from the engine temperature sensor.
Black wire with alligator clip to the negative battery terminal.

Place the filter and adapter on the subframe and tie it down temporarily using a tie-wrap or mechanics wire (Figure 6). Be sure hoses are not
kinked.

Fill the transmission with ATF, start the engine and check for leaks.
CAUTION
DO NOT leave the car unattended under any circumstances.
DO NOT drive the car with the filtering kit installed.

a. For cars with thermostat:
Set the parking brake and block both drive wheels. With the gear selector in "Drive", temporarily raise the engine RPM to 1500.
Observe the cars temperature gauge. It should take approximately 15 minutes to reach 100~C (Figure 7) or peak. When it has reached its peak, the
thermostat (transmission) has opened and the ATF is being filtered.
Allow the system to filter for at least 5 minutes.
b.
For cars without thermostat:
Set the parking brake and block both drive wheels. With the gear selector in "Drive", temporarily raise the engine RPM to 1500.
Allow the system to filter for at least 5 minutes.

Remove the filtering adapter, hoses and harness.
NOTE
Adapter should be cleaned and stored with a new filter installed on it.
Reconnect the original ATF cooling system hoses to their respective connections on the transmission. Connect the engine temperature sensor.
Top off the transmission oil and complete transmission installation
