by moisture
Background
On occasions, moisture in the airbag system control module can cause electrical disturbance and turn on the SRS warning lamp. If moisture or dried
damp spots are found on the control module, it must be changed. Otherwise, it is only necessary to fit the cover

A VIN Status List will be supplied to you prior to any owner notification. If you do not receive a Status List, this is an indication that no affected
vehicles have been sold to/by your dealership.

If active moisture is evident on the control module, and the customer has complained of a coolant smell in the car, replace the heater core, P/N 50 46
362. Bear in mind that dried coolant on the control module is not evidence of an active leak.
NOTE:
All parts replaced as a result of this recall will be requested for return to the Warranty Parts Testing Department, Norcross, GA 30093.
