Discharge Air Temperature Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation
Discharge Air Temperature Sensor (Blended Air Temperature Sensor)
The blended air temperature sensor is of NTC type and has a pointed sensor body.
The sensor receives power from the ACC control module.
When the ACC control module has decided what blended air temperature is required, the data from the blended air temperature sensor is used to
adjust the position of the air mixing damper.
If selected temperature is "HI" (air-mixing damper fully open) or "LO" (air-mixing damper fully closed), the reading from the blended-air
temperature sensor is not used.
If there is no data from the blended-air temperature, the ACC unit calculates a default value based on the other sensor data.
