9. Cars with airbags, fit the contact roller to the mounting. Connect the connectors for the horn and the airbag (orange).
IMPORTANT: The contact roller is perishable. Treat it as such.
10. Attach the connector and cables the steering column assembly with a cable tie.
11. Fit the upper and lower steering column assembly covers in place and tighten the four retaining screws. Ensure that the cables to the contact roller
(cars with airbag) are not caught by the centre screw. '
12. Check that the wheel points directly forwards.
13. Car with airbag, turn the contact roller counterclockwise to the end position. The turn it halfway back, approximately. 2.5 turns clockwise.
14. Fit the steering wheel. Cars with airbag, thread the cables through the hole and set the steering wheel position at the same time as the contact roller
fits against the steering wheel. Tighten the steering wheel nut.
Tightening torques: 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
15. Cars with airbags: Connect the horn connector. Connect and fit the steering wheel airbag and tighten to 7 Nm(5 ft. lbs.).
