Clutch: Service and Repair
1st One-Way Clutch

NOTE:  Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.

Removal

1. The one-way clutch inner-ring can be pressed out of the complete unit.
2. Pry off the circlip from the one-way clutch outer ring.
3. Remove the Belleville washer and one-way clutch.

Be careful that the one-way clutch does not fall apart.

Check

Check that the springs are still tensioned and push out the rollers fully.

Installation

1. Place the one-way clutch outer ring on a suitable surface.
2. Press the one-way clutch inner ring into the outer ring.
3. Carefully align the one-way clutch holder and install it into place, pressing the rollers slightly outwards.
4. Then turn the one-way clutch carrier so that the metal edge can be pressed into the track in the outer ring.
5. Place the holder ring in such a way that the three installing marks have the round part facing up, and fix using the circlip. Install one end of the

circlip into the groove and then use a screwdriver to press the rest of the circlip into the groove (the holder ring must be centered).
