The 3rd-4th traction valve serves in 4th as a valve for system pressure supply to clutch A. When shifting 3rd-4th, clutch A is drained through this valve.
Draining does not take place until brake band C' is able to transfer engine torque.
4TH-3RD Traction Valve

The 3rd-4th traction valve serves as a clutch valve for damper A, and its function is to pre-fill clutch A when shifting down from 4th to 3rd.
