18. Remove the support bearing bracket from the engine's guide pins using an iron bar.
19. Pull out the intermediate shaft from the universal joint driver shaft.
20. Lower the support bearing bracket together with the universal joint driver.
Installation
1. Make sure that the universal joint driver is cleaned and filled with grease.

Use Mobile Grease GS 57C, or equivalent.
CAUTION:

Make sure that the grease does not come into contact with the paint work which could become discolored.

Check that the O-ring on the inner universal joint driver on the differential is in position.
2. Lift the car.
3. Lift the support bearing bracket with its pipe and intermediate shaft.

Install the intermediate shaft in the stub axle's splines.

Carefully tap with a plastic hammer to install the support bearing bracket in position.
4. Install the upper securing screw to the support bearing bracket.
5. Install the bottom securing screws which also secure the bracket for the oxygen sensor's connector and the clamp to the pipe for the servo pump.
6. Tighten the three securing screws to the support bearing bracket.
Tightening torque: 26-34 Nm (19-25 ft. lbs.)
7. Install the screw which secures the engine mounting in the support bearing bracket.
8. Install the front exhaust pipe.
