Rear window wiper arm comes loose
Cars affected
Saab 9000 from M94, up to and including M98 VIN W1004777, with rear window wiper.
Background
The nut (M6) securing the rear window wiper arm on the affected cars can come loose.
Rectify as follows if there is a customer complaint.
Parts required
74 96 268 LOCTITE 242 (CA: 12345382)
Procedure
1
Fit the rear window wiper so that the top of the wiper blade is positioned between the 1st and 2nd heating wire, see illustration.
2
Apply a few drops of LOCTITE 242 into the nut and tighten it.
Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 lbf ft)
