9. Check that the brake piston is pressed back into the cylinder.
10. Install the brake caliper to the swivel member (5). 10 Install the wheel sensor (6).
11. Tighten the hub centre-nut slightly (7).
CAUTION: If the hub centre-nut has been slackened or removed, a new centre nut must always be fitted. This is because the locking device on
the nut will be less effective if the nut is refitted.
12. Install the wheel and tighten the five wheel bolts to 105 - 130 Nm (77.5 - 95.9 ft. lbs.).
13. Lower the car and tighten the hub centre nut when all four wheels of the car are on the floor (7) . Tightening torque: 290 Nm (214 ft. lbs.).
14. Tighten the nut at the top mounting (8), using a torque wrench to 90 Nm (66.4 ft. lbs.).
15. Pump the brake pedal to advance the brake pistons in the calipers.
Dampers
REMOVAL
1. Cut out a flap in the luggage compartment carpeting to gain access to the damper's upper mounting.
2. Remove the nut, washer and bush from damper's upper mounting point.
3. Raise the car and remove the rear wheel.
4. Remove the retaining bolt in the damper's lower mounting.
5. Lift out the damper.
INSTALLATION
1. Insert the damper's upper mounting through the hole in the body.
2. Tighten the retaining bolt in the damper's lower mounting.
Tightening torque: 62 Nm (45.8 ft. lbs.). Install the wheel.
4. Lower the car to the floor.
5. Tighten the wheel bolts.
Tightening torque: 105 - 130 Nm (77.5 - 95.9 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the bush, washer and nut on the upper mounting.
Tightening torque: 20 Nm (14.8 ft. lbs.).
7. Press back the flap in the luggage compartment trim and restore the luggage compartment to its original condition.
