Holding the lever arm in position, remove the bushing.
It corrosion is present, use a soft brush or compressed air to clean away the area surround the lever arm. Do not use any solvents or lubricants.
It the bushing cannot be easily removed, remove the lever arm assembly and replace it. Install a new bolt and nickel-plated bushing.

Insert the new bushing in the throttle control lever.

Be sure the lever arm is in place so that the end of the spring is located just above the notch on the throttle housing.
Pull the lever arm slightly to open the throttle approximately 8mm and screw in the new bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 6 ft. lbs. (8Nm).
WARNING
It is important that the ends of the springs are in the correct position.

Grease the 0-rings with acid free Vaseline (available from local drug stores) to hold them in place and refit the resonator.
