The direction indicators work, but the hazard flashers do not.
Unplug the hazard flasher switch and connect a jumper lead between pins 1 and 4 of the connector.

If the hazard flashers work, the fault is in the switch. Change the switch.

If this does not work, check the grounding of the switch by measuring the resistance between pin 1 of the connector and a good grounding point.
The resistance should be < 1 ohm.

If the ground connection is OK, plug in a BOB and check the wiring for continuity/shorting between pin 21 of the Integrated Central Electronics
(ICE) module connector and pin 4 of the switch connector.

Continue fault diagnosis as described on "Before Changing an Electronic Control Module".
