900 S Sedan L4-2290cc 2.3L DOHC (1994)
Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1. Remove dipstick and stuff cloth into end of dipstick tube, then raise engine slightly with suitable lift.
2. Disconnect oxygen sensor leads, then disconnect cable clamp and remove clip.
3. Raise and support vehicle, then drain oil and position suitable lifting table under engine.
4. Remove front wheels and spoiler sections, then disconnect joint between front exhaust pipe and intermediate pipe.
5. Remove exhaust pipe from turbocharger or exhaust manifold.
6. Remove catalytic converter from its bracket, then the exhaust pipe.
7. Remove steering swivel member end pieces, then the rear engine mounting.
8. Raise lifting table, then remove other bolts and subframe.
9. Disconnect oil level sensor connector and pull cable out of its clamps.
10. Remove protective plate and oil pan. Do not remove guide sleeve from cylinder block.
11. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Make sure there are no impurities or foreign matter in pan, then thoroughly clean flange with benzine.
b. Apply even bead of Loctite 518, or equivalent, along flange before installing pan.
