accumulated fuel consumption from the main instrument display panel. This data is supplied to pins 16 and 17 of the SID unit.

Selecting The Display Mode

Select the display desired by pressing the INFO button (SID unit 2) or the dot or arrow button (SID unit 3).

The outside temperature is displayed automatically each time the trip computer is switched on. M1995 and later:

On switching off the ignition, the display mode last selected is stored in the SID unit's memory. It will be displayed again next time the ignition is
switched on.

Clearing The Display Modes

To clear the trip computer, press the CLEAR button for more than four seconds. A short beep will sound and the text "CLEARED" will appear in the
display for two seconds.

The displays concerned are:

- distance to empty tank

- average fuel consumption

- trip meter (not distance to destination, only SID unit 3)

- average speed (only SID unit 3) arrival time (only SID unit 3)

Setting The Computer (only SID unit 3)

Select the desired mode and then press the SET button for more than two seconds. An acoustic signal will then be heard and the text will start flashing.

Increase or decrease the setting of the selected mode using dot or arrow button.

To zero the setting, press "CLEAR". End the setting procedure by pressing the SET button briefly.
