Correcting Customer Complaint of Loosening Seat Upholstery

Application: 
1994- 900 and 900 Convertible Models up to and including VIN Serial No. S2039380 and S7022621

Some customers may complain that the upholstery on their front seat(s) is pulling away from the seat. We have found that this may be caused by the
cardboard strip on the seat upholstery cracking and causing the upholstery fabric to come away from the seat. Follow the directions below to add a
reinforcement strip of plastic to correct the customer complaint.

Cars Affected:

1994- 900 and 900 Convertible models up to and including VIN Serial Nos. S2039380 and S7022621

Action:

1.

Remove the seat from the car. See Service Manual Section 8:2, p. 852.

2.

Remove the cowl from the side of the seat (only the front cowl on 3-door cars and Convertible).

3.

Detach the lower part of the fabric from the frame.
