In some cases it may be difficult to diagnose the cause of a complaint of a dead battery. On cars with ACC that have a repeated dead battery condition
one possibility may be remedied as described below.
First, check to see if the fan for the cabin temperature sensor fails to switch off when the ignition has been switched off (should normally switch off after
four minutes).
If the temperature sensor fan continues to run, the problem is caused by an internal fault in the ACC ECM. This can be rectified by grounding pin 3 as
detailed on the following page.
