NOTE:  The seat-belt warning function is active only during the first six seconds after ignition switch-on.

Plug in the Intelligent Saab Tester (ISAT) scan tool and read any diagnostic trouble codes that may be present. If any trouble codes are present,
continue as described in Trouble Code Tables.

Select "READ VALUES" from the menu and then "SEAT BELT SWITCH". Read the ISAT scan tool display.
Seat belt in --> "OFF" 
Seat belt not in --> "ON"

If this is not the case, unplug the 2-pole connector from the front seat, connect a jumper lead between pins 1 and 2 and repeat point 2.
If the ISAT scan tool reading is now correct, the fault is in the seat belt switch. Change the switch.

If the ISAT scan tool reading is still not correct, connect a BOB and check the lead between pin 20 of the Integrated Central Electronics (ICE)
module and pin 1 of the 2-pole connector for continuity/shorting.
