To check intermittent wiper operation, select "ACTIVATE RELAY" on the ISAT scan tool and then "WINDSCREEN WIPER".
Intermittent wiper operation should be activated when the ignition switch is "ON". If it is not, check whether there is a power supply on pin 30 of
the relay connector which changes between 0 V and 12 V when intermittent operation is activated.
If there is no power supply, the fault is in the relay. Change the relay.

If a power supply is present, check the wiring between pin 30 of the relay holder and pin 9 of the switch for continuity/shorting.

Check that a 12 V power supply is present between:
-

pin 8 of the switch and a good grounding point when the switch is in position J.
If no power supply is present, install a new switch.

pin 3 of the windshield wiper motor and a good grounding point when the switch is in position J.

If no power supply is present, check the wiring between pin 8 of the switch connector and pin 3 of the windshield wiper motor connector for
continuity/shorting.

If intermittent wiper operation does not work after the above checks have been carried out, the fault is probably in the windshield wiper motor.
Change the wiper motor.
