Assembly
1. Check that the spherical socket ring has been threaded on the gear lever.
2. Install the spring in the actuator.
3. Check that the figure 4 on the knob is in line with the R on the actuator and push the knob on to the actuator.
4. Check that the gaiter is placed on the actuator.
5. Ensure that the gear marking on the knob and the actuator's stop heel are in the correct position in relation to the bearing hole at the bottom of the
gear lever (so that the gear marking will be in the correct position in the car).

Loosely install the knob on the lever so that it hooks into its splines.
6. Place the gear lever in a screw vice.

Tap the knob with your hand or with a light rubber mallet until the stop heel of the actuator is 0-0.5 mm max above the stop of the reverse gear
catch.
7. Install the gear lever in the gear lever housing.
