Shifter M/T: Adjustments
NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.
1. Inspect the gear position operation.
2. Remove from above the clamp which holds the gear rod in the linkage on the gearbox.
3. Check that the gear lever is in 4th position.
4. insert locking pin tool No. 87 92 335, or equivalent, into the gear lever housing.

The locking pin's ring should be down in the hole.
5. Tighten from above the nut on the clamp which holds the gear rod in the linkage on the gearbox.

Tightening torque: 19-23 Nm (13-17 ft. lbs.)
6. Remove the locking pin from the gearbox and install the plastic plug.
7. Remove the locking pin from the gear lever housing and install the gaiter.
8. Test by changing gear.
