Clutch Master Cylinder: Service and Repair
To Bleed the Master and Slave Cylinders

1. Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir's filler cap.
2. Top up the reservoir with brake fluid as necessary. 
3. Undo the bleed nipple.

4. Connect brake bleeder 88 19 096 to the bleed nipple.
5. Connect compressed air to the brake bleeder and bleed the clutch until clear fluid runs from the nipple.
6. Tighten the bleed nipple and remove the brake bleeder. Check clutch operation and top up with brake fluid to the correct level.
7. Install all components.

NOTE:  If the slave cylinder has been changed or drained, see below. If the gearbox has been removed from the vehicle, bleed the slave cylinder. 

a. Carry out points 1 to 5 above.
b. Tighten the bleed nipple.
c. Depress the clutch pedal and hold it down.
d. Open the bleed nipple.
e. Tighten the bleed nipple.
f.

Raise the clutch pedal.

g. Repeat points 3 to 6 a number of times (6 or 7).
h. Check clutch operation and top up with brake fluid to the correct level.
