Remove the rear side trim. See Body - Convertible - Adjustment/replacement - Rear side trim".

Remove the clip for the rear trim and lift up the trim.

Remove the screws holding the microswitch.

Unplug the connector, remove the microswitch and remove the tape holding the wires.

Run the cable through the bracket for the backrest catch mechanism and fit the microswitch.
Torque specification: 1.6 in.lbs.
NOTE:
It is important to not overtighten the screws. Over-tightening can cause internal damage to the switch.

Plug in the connector.
