Since 1990, 9000 models have come with a 4-pole connector located behind the center dash panel to the right. See Figures at the end of this bulletin for
more information regarding this connector.**

Saab recommends when installing mobile telephones and/or communications radios that an external antenna be used to eliminate the generation of
electromagnetic fields within the vehicle and to increase the range of the component.

For 900's, the special 6-pole connector provides.

+30 supply from fuse 23 (pin 1)

^

+15 supply from fuse 17 (pin 2)

^

adjustment of the light from rheostat 16 (pin 3)

^

reduction of radio volume in the case of incoming/outgoing calls (pin 5)

^

ground connection (pin 4)

**A mating adapter harness is now available from spare parts stock for use on both 900 and 9000 models. Please recommend this item to all installers.
