Lift out the filament monitor and connect a jumper lead between terminal C2 and ground. The message should now appear on both the SID and
Scan Tool displays.

If the message is displayed, the filament monitor is faulty and must be replaced.

If no message is displayed, continue with point 4.

Connect a BOB to the SID unit and check the wiring for continuity/shorting between terminal C2 of the filament monitor and pin 4 of the SID unit.

NOTE:  If a message is always displayed on the SID unit, check the filament monitor's grounding cable.

Checking the ICE Data

Connect a Intellegent Saab Tester (ISAT) Scan Tool and select "READ VALUES" followed by "DATA FROM ICE".
