Undo the screw/screws securing the threaded bar on the left hand side.

Make a note of the length of thread protruding from the second bow. Detach the bar from the second bow.
4.
Fit nut 49 01 153 on the bow, screw it down to the bottom of the thread.
5.
Fit the threaded bar with the same length of thread protruding as earlier.
6.
Lock the joint with the new nut. Make sure the second bow does not stick.
7.
Repeat the procedure for the right hand side.
Foam rubber strips, second and third bows
1.
Open the top so that it points straight up.
2.
Undo the front of the headlining and detach it from the first and second bows.
3.
Remove the Strips in the second and third bows.
4.
Fit new foam rubber strips 49 O1 385 in the second and third bows with the thick side down.
5.
Attach the headlining to the second and first bows. Attach the front of the headlining.
Felt tape, tonneau cover flaps

Open the tonneau cover.
