Procedure

The driver's seat has only one lever with a cable system, while the passenger seat has a lever on each side with separate cable systems. Make sure the
passenger back rest can be tipped forward using both levers.

The following directions are for fitting a cable spacer to the outside of the passenger seat but they can also be followed when fitting on the inside of the
passenger seat and on the driver's seat.

Remove the seat concerned from the car. See "8. Seats, Adjustment/replacement, Front seats".

Cut the staples securing the bottom of the backrest upholstery.

Release the two upholstery rods holding the front of the upholstery taut by bending out the metal tabs.
