If clips are fitted, discard them.

Stick fabric-backed tape on the metal frame to protect the foam cushion from chafing. See Figure 2, item 4.

Cover the sharp ends of the reinforcement strip with fabric-backed tape to protect the upholstery. See Figure 2, item 5.

Note

There are two versions of the cardboard strip: one is 2 mm thick and the other is 3 mm thick. On cars with a 2 mm cardboard strip, the mounting
points on the seat frame should be bent inwards so that the strip is clamped securely in place.

Place reinforcement strip (Figure 2, item A) on the inside between the cardboard strip and the fabric. The patterned side should face the metal
edge.

7.

Fit the upholstery fabric, cowl and seat back in place.
