Removal

1. Lift the car and take off the wheel.
2. Press the brake pistons back with a pair of grips.
3. Depress the brake pedal with a brake clamp.
4. Undo the brake pipe connection from the brake caliper.

Plug the pipes and the brake caliper.

5. Remove the pins and the locking spring.
6. Remove the brake pads.
7. Remove the two brake caliper securing bolts and lift away the brake caliper.

Installation

1. Install the brake caliper, and tighten the securing bolts using a locking compound.

Tighten to: 80 Nm (59 ft lb)

2. Remove the plugs and connect the brake pipes.
3. Install the brake pads, pins and lock spring.
4. Lower the car slightly and remove the brake clamp.
5. Bleed the brake system.
6. Install the wheels and tighten the wheel studs.

Tighten to: light alloy wheels 117 Nm (86.6 ft lb)

Tighten to: pressed steel wheels 100 Nm (74 ft lb)
