Inspection of soundproofing pads adjacent to the air evacuation grille. (This modification was introduced in production as of VIN Serial No.
R2012901.)
1.
Remove the two clips securing the luggage compartment trim on the right-hand side.
2.
Remove the screws and clips securing the luggage compartment scuff plate and lift it off.
3.
Bend down luggage compartment trim and tape the soundproofing pads in place as shown. Note that the lower of the two pads should be folded
once before it is introduced behind the sheet metal. See Figure 3, item A. Tape length should be about 20 cm.
4.
Refit the luggage compartment trim and scuff plate. The trim should be fitted under the tailgate weather-seal.

Remove the speaker grilles.

Remove the defroster cover.
3.
Lift out the LH and RH soundproofing.
4.
Transfer the VIN plate to the new defroster cover.
