Action

1.

Drain the coolant (undo the drain plug or remove the lower radiator hose). Removing the expansion tank cap will accelerate the draining process.

Note

Since there will still be quite a lot of coolant remaining in the engine, always position a suitable receptacle under the vehicle when working on the
coolant system.

Remove the Poly-V belt and timing cover. See Page 215-1 of Service Manual 2:1 Basic Engine, B258.
