Fit the steering column universal joint on the pinion shaft and install the locking bolt. See Figure 6.

Lock the adjusting handle.
WARNING!
It is important to ensure that the upper retaining nuts are tightened first and then the lower bolt. This order of tightening is important to avoid
undesirable stresses arising in the steering column.
12.
Use a torque wrench to tighten the two upper retaining nuts.
Tightening torque: 17.8 ft.lbs. (24 Nm)
13.
Fit the retaining bolt above the air duct and tighten it using a torque wrench.
Tightening torque: 17.8 ft.lbs. (24 Nm)
