Press the rubber weight on to the correct position: 34 +/-2 mm from the lower groove (see Figure 5.) Use special tools, P/N 87 91 972 and 87 91

Fill the universal joint with CV joint grease, P/N 02 70 025.
N.
Fit the rubber boot on the drive shaft.
O.
Place the drive shaft in a vise and press in the universal joint on to its original location.
P.
Place the rubber boot in the correct position and fit new clamps, P/N 41 95 822.
Q.
Place the inner universal joint in the gearbox attachment. Using a rubber hammer, carefully tap the outer universal joint so that the drive shaft is
locked in position.
R.
Hold out the MacPherson strut and place the drive shaft in the hub.
S.
Fit a new hub nut, P/N 89 65 360.. Tighten with the car standing on the ground.
T.
Tightening torque: 290 Nm (214 ft.lbs.)
U.
Fill with transmission fluid.
V.
Proceed to step 20.
