Gear Positions
NOTE: Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.
1. Engage 4th gear
2. Remove the plastic plug on the gearbox and install locking pin 87 92 335, so that 4th gear is fixed in the gearbox.

The locking pin's ring should be uppermost.
3. Remove the gaiter on the gear lever and check that locking pin tool No. 87 92 335, or equivalent, can be inserted into the hole in the gear lever
housing.

The locking pin's ring should be down in the hole.

If it is not possible to insert the locking pin, adjust the gear position.

Remove the locking pins if no adjustment is to be carried out.
