DC Motor For Recirculation Damper
The recirculation damper is operated by a DC motor. The damper has two positions only. When the motor has rotated the damper to either end
position, current passing through the motor's winding is limited by two PTC resistors built into the motor. PTC stands for Positive Thermal
Coefficient and means that the resistance increases with increased heat (the opposite of NTC).
In addition, the ACC control module will shut off the output after a certain time. This is not done on cars with a manual control panel, however,
but the motor will not be damaged due to internal current limitation.
