Shift Up Lamp: Description and Operation
The lamp is located in the main instrument and is supplied with +15. The lamp is controlled from pin 55 of the ECM and is tested for 3 seconds when the
ignition is switched on. During driving, the lamp lights up when there is a combination of light engine load and high engine speed. This does not apply to
5th gear.
The ECM calculates the gear position on the basis of engine speed and vehicle speed.
