4. Remove the check link (2).

Remove the bolt (1).

Remove the 2 nuts (3).

Installation Procedure

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

1. Install the check link.

Tighten the bolt to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).

*

Tighten the 2 nuts to 8 Nm (71 lb in).

2. Install the water vapor barrier.
3. Install the rubber check link seal.
4. Install the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement   (See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair).
