5. Remove the front exhaust pipe and the mid muffler. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust
System/Service and Repair).
6. Remove the parking brake cable from the brake caliper.

Push down the brake caliper actuation lever with the screwdriver and remove the parking brake cable.

Remove the retaining clip from the parking brake cable.
*
Remove the parking brake cable out of the retainer.
7. Remove the rubber exhaust mounts (2) for mid muffler from the vehicle underbody.
8. Remove the heat shield of the mid muffler from the vehicle underbody.
Remove the 7 nuts (1).
9. Twist the front end of the parking brake cable (3) 90 degrees and remove from the parking brake cable compensator.
10. Remove the parking brake cable from the rear axle retainers, rear axle bracket and the fuel tanks (4).
