Astra L4-1.8L (2009)
1. Install the parking brake cable in the retainers on the rear axle, the rear axle bracket and to retainers (1) on the fuel tank.
Note: Ensure the T-piece at the front end of the parking brake cable is seated correctly in the parking brake cable compensator (arrow).
2. Position the front of the parking brake cables (2) into the parking brake cable compensator and twist by 90 degrees.
3. Push the protective sleeve for the front of the parking brake cables (4) in the direction of the parking brake cable compensator until it passes over
the bulges (3) on the parking brake cable.
4. Install the parking brake cable to the brake caliper.

Insert the parking brake cable into the retainer.

Install the new retaining clip to the parking brake cable.

Push down the actuating lever for the brake caliper with a screwdriver.

Hook the parking brake cable into the actuating lever for the brake caliper.

5. Install the heat shield of the mid muffler (7) to the vehicle underbody.
