Astra L4-1.8L (2009)
2. Connect the wheel sensor wiring harness (1).
3. Install brake disc of rear wheel brake. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Brake
Rotor/Disc/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Brake Rotor Replacement).
Note: Clean the thread and insert bolt with locking compound.
4. Attach the brake caliper with brake carrier to the brake anchor plate.
Tighten to 100 Nm (74 lb ft).

Slide the brake caliper onto the brake disc.

Install the 2 bolts.
5. If removed, install brake pads of the rear wheel brake. Refer to Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement (See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc
Brake System/Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Rear Disc Brake Pads Replacement).
6. Attach the handbrake cable to the brake caliper.

Insert the handbrake cable into the bracket on the brake caliper.

Attach the retaining clip to the handbrake cable.
*
Push down the operating lever at the brake caliper using a screwdriver.

Install the handbrake cable.
7. Install the rear wheel.
Tighten to 110 Nm (81 lb ft).
8. Adjust the handbrake. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment (See: Brakes and Traction Control/Parking Brake System/Adjustments).
