Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Service Intervals).
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the rear park brake cable from the park brake actuator and position aside. Refer to Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement (See:
Brakes and Traction Control/Parking Brake System/Parking Brake Cable/Service and Repair).
4. Remove the brake caliper and bracket as an assembly. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement (See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc

5. Remove the wheel bearing/hub assembly. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (See: Wheel Bearing/Service and Repair/Rear
Suspension).
6. Remove the lower shock to knuckle bolt. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement (See: Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and
Repair/Rear Suspension Shock Absorber/Shock Absorber Replacement).
7. Remove the coil spring. Refer to Coil Spring Replacement (See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension Coil
Spring/Coil Spring Replacement).
8. Remove the 3 trailing arm to knuckle bolts (1).
