Steering Knuckle Replacement

Tools Required

J 45059 Angle Meter

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Maintenance/Service Intervals).
2. Remove the wheel bearing. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement  (See: Wheel Bearing/Service and Repair/Front Suspension).

3. Remove the outer tie rod to knuckle nut. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement  (See: Steering/Tie Rod/Tie Rod End/Service

and Repair).

4. Remove the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement  (See: Control Arm/Service and Repair/Front Suspension).

5. Remove the strut to steering knuckle nuts and bolts.
6. Remove the steering knuckle from the vehicle.
