Oil Pan Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: The vehicle is equipped with a automatic transaxle to oil pan lower brace. The brace boss on the transaxle may interfere with oil
pan removal.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 
2. Install the engine support fixture. 
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
4. Place a suitable drain pan under the oil pan drain plug.
5. Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the engine oil from the crankcase.
6. Reinstall the oil pan drain plug until snug.
7. Remove the starter. 
8. Remove the oil filter adapter. 

9. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor bolts/nut and position the compressor aside.
