Driver's Power Seat Adjuster Inoperative, DRV ST Fuse # 2 Open (Repair Seat Wiring Harness)

2007 Saturn Aura
with 8-Way Power Seat Adjuster (RPO AE8)
Condition
Some customers may comment that the driver's power seat adjuster is inoperative. Technicians may find that the DRV ST fuse # 2 in the rear fuse block
is open.
Cause
This condition may be caused by the power seat wiring harness chafing on a corner of a crossbeam that is a part of the seat frame.
Correction
Technicians are to repair the driver's power seat adjuster wiring harness using the following procedure:
Move the driver's seat to the full forward and upward position. If the seat will not move due to an open DRV ST # 2 fuse, replace the fuse and attempt to
move the seat. If the seat still cannot be moved if may be necessary to remove the seat in order to gain access to the seat cushion outer trim panel on the
left side of the lower seat cushion.
Remove and reposition the driver's seat cushion outer trim panel (4) to gain access to the seat wiring harness and the left side of the seat frame. Refer to
the Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement procedure in SI.
