Coupe L4-1.9L DOHC VIN 7 (1994)
1.
Coat the new oil pressure regulator valve (P/N 25014181) with engine oil and tap it into the cover bore until it seats using service installation tool
SA9103E and a hammer.
NOTICE:
The oil pump assembly must be packed with petroleum jelly to prime the pump.
2.
Install the drive and driven rotors into the pump body with chamfer toward the front engine oil seal.
3.
Install the oil pump body cover using new screws (P/N 21006630, nine screws required).
Torque: 11 N-m (97 lbs.in.)
IMPORTANT:
The screw holes in the front cover must be clean and dry before installing the oil pump cover screws.
4.
Install the front cover assembly. Refer to the "Engine Lubrication Section" in the "Engine-Mechanical Service Manual" for installation procedures.
