This bulletin is being revised to update the stabilizer shaft clamp bolt torque specification. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 05-03-08-008
(Section 03 - Suspension).
Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to inform Saturn retailers of changes to some front suspension fastener tightening specifications for the 2003-2005 Saturn
ION.
Please obtain all copies of the printed 2003, 2004, and 2005 Saturn ION Service Manual, Vol.1, and write in the new values in the procedures in the
Front Suspension section that are affected by these changes. Also print out copies of SI Document ID # 878679 and insert the new "Front Suspension
Fastener Tightening Specifications" table in place of the existing "Front Suspension Fastener Tightening Specifications" table in each Service Manual.
The SI website has been updated with the latest information.
