Transmission Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 
2. Remove the ECK.

Important:  Use care not to damage connector retaining levers.

3. Remove the TCM connectors from the TCM, noting proper connection points for installation.
4. Use the retaining tab in order to release the TCM from the under hood junction block bracket.
5. Lift the TCM halfway, then rotate the TCM clockwise to remove.

Installation Procedure

1. Place the lower right corner of the TCM into the under hood junction block bracket.
2. Rotate the TCM counter clockwise, then press the TCM downward until fully seated.
3. Install the TCM harness connectors to the TCM, as noted during removal.
4. Install the ECK. 
5. Connect the negative battery cable. 
6. Program the TCM.  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning
