8. Remove the J 44810 from the manual shaft.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
9. Tighten the park/neutral position switch bolts.

Tighten the bolt to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
10. Install the park/neutral position switch lever and nut.

Tighten the nut to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
11. Connect the shift cable to the park/neutral shift lever.
12. Verify the park/neutral position switch adjustment by starting the vehicle in all ranges. If the transmission starts in any range other than park or
neutral, readjust the park/neutral position switch.
