2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the retractor pretensioner.
3. Remove the retractor bolt.
4. Remove the pretensioner by sliding the pretensioner up and out of the pocket in the center pillar.
5. Fully deploy the pretensioner before disposal. Refer to Pretensioner Handling and Scrapping.
Installation Procedure
1. Slide the pretensioner retractor into the pocket in the center pillar.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
2. Install the bolt while holding the pretensioner in place.
Tighten the bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
3. Connect the electrical connector to the retractor pretensioner.
4. Install the lower trim panel to the center pillar.
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
6. Inspect the seat belt for proper operation.
