Front Side Door Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement  See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair
2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement  See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair
3. Pull back the upper weatherstrip from the rear of the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement   (See: Front Door

4. Remove the lower rear window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement   (See: Front Door Window Glass/Front

Door Window Glass Weatherstrip/Service and Repair/Door Window Channel).

5. Remove the manual lock rod.

6. Remove the inside door handle with the actuator rod from the latch mechanism.
7. Use a permanent marker to mark the lock cylinder rod to latch mechanism relationship for correct reinstallation.
8. Remove the latch/lock mechanism from the door.
