Console Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Pull the trim outward to release the Velcro(R). Slide the trim forward in the vehicle.
2. Remove the trim from the instrument panel (I/P).
3. Remove the power window switches, if equipped. 

4. Remove the park brake boot over by inserting a flat-bladed tool between the boot and the console.
5. Pull the park brake boot over the park brake assembly.
6. Remove the cupholder assembly. Refer to Cupholder Replacement   (See: Drink Holders/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement).
7. Disconnect the console wiring harness from the main body harness located under the cupholder.
8. Remove the shift lever boot. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Boot Replacement    in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
